Creating Better Neighborhoods for the Future

Come learn, share and perhaps to volunteer. The conference will feature cohousing and community experts - and is a great opportunity to network with dedicated cohousing activists, supporters and residents from around the world. Presentations and workshops will address everything from the basics of cohousing, designing and building communities, living in community as well as how we can contribute to making cohousing more widespread, more sustainable and more affordable. Washington D.C. offers a great opportunity for thought leaders and policy makers at the national level to consider what the cohousing model has to offer in the goal of creating better neighborhoods for the future.

Conference Highlights

	Conference Sessions More than 40 sessions and presentations covering a wide range of exciting and relevant topics will spark new ideas and give you tools you can use whether you are creating cohousing, living in it, or just wanting to find out more.
	Cohousing 101 New to the Cohousing idea and want to find out more? Cohousing 101 will provide you with a rich introduction to the basic components of the model, how it works and why it brings such value to residents. Sign up for the Thursday afternoon session or the Friday morning session at no extra charge.
	Community Tours These rolling workshops will take you to Washington D.C. area communities so that you can experience and learn about cohousing first hand.
	Consult with the Professionals A range of cohousing experts and professionals are offering one-on-one consultations at this year’s conference. Make connections and get valuable advice from the pros. Fees for this service will be donated in support of CohoUS. Browse the list and sign up here.
	Cohousing University In depth, intensive workshops offered in the two days prior to the conference, will provide tools and information you can use. Separate workshops will focus on Cohousing Development, Sustainability, and Dynamic Community Governance. A Cohousing Research and Writers workshop connects scholars, practitioners and writers interested in the cohousing model and how it connects to broader social and sustainability themes.
